- My name is Andrea & I simply have a love for all things homemade, all things cute, and all things yummy. Growing up, I would come up with extravagant ideas for prom dresses or Halloween costumes. Armed with her craftiness and sewing machine, my mom would magically make my creations come to life. And I simply want to carry on the tradition. So who is Welda Joy? It stands for the fabulous women in my life & family who inspire me. The name Welda Joy comes from two of my grandmothers. Welda is my husband's "Grandmere" who makes the most delicious baked goods, and Joyce is my "Mammaw" who has taught me to always be myself.
